Mrs. Florence McCready

Mrs. Florence McCready passed away at her home in north Blair Tuesday, October 13 at the age of 76 years and 20 days. She was born in Holstein, Germany and came to America when seven years of age.

She was married to John McCready in Omaha in 1876 and after his death to Sam Brown in 1897. Eight children were born to her, Mrs. Rose Parke, Phoenix, Arizona; John McCready, Pender, Nebr.; Tena Daniels, Blair; Mrs. Mina Watson, Kooskia, Idaho; Jess Brown, Missouri Valley and Matthew Brown of Blair.

She has been a resident of Blair for forty years and was a hard working, highly respected woman and a consistent member of the German Lutheran church.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. from the Campbell Mortuary with Rev. Reese officiating and interment will be made in St. Francis, Kansas.
