George McCready Dead

George McCready was born Sept. 7, 1882, at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. At the age of six months his parents moved to Blair where he was raised to manhood. He was married to Miss Mae Ommerman, of Sterling, Colorado, Dec. 22, 1909. Two children were born to this union, Frances Alverna, aged 5, and Florence Louise, aged 2. He died Nov. 10, 1916. Besides his wife and two little girls he leaves to mourn, his mother, Mrs. Amelia Brown, one brother, John McCready, of Pender, Neb., three sisters, Mrs. Rose Parker and Mrs. Mina Watson, of Idaho, and Mrs. Tena Daniels, of this city; two half-brothers, Jesse and Matthew Brown, who live at home with their mother, and other relatives in this city, a host of friends who had learned to love him for his cheerful disposition and the kind regard he had for other people. Before his marriage he served three years in the United States regular army, from which he had an honorable discharge.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon, at the home of his mother, in this city, conducted by Rev. Foreman.
