WILL HOLD RITES FOR MRS. HENRY RUWE SATURDAY

Another descendant of a pioneer family, Mrs. Henry Ruwe, passed to the Great Beyond Tuesday when at about noon she was found in her room, a victim of a heart attack.

Deceased was a daughter of the late Honorable John A. and Mary Cuppy, prominent in the early settlement of the Fontanelle Neighborhood. She was reared to womanhood in the vicinity, but after her the death of her father, her mother remarried and the family moved to Blair, living in the property just south of Crowell Memorial Home.

On February 9, 1897, she was married to Henry Ruwe and they at once settled in Blair where they have since made their home and where she died last Tuesday.

Funeral services will be held next Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Bendorf Funeral Home with Rev. John P. Brooks of the local Methodist church officiating and interment will be made at Telbasta.

#2-31 Dec., 1942 - The Enterprise MRS. H. A. RUWE BURIED SATURDAY Funeral services for Mrs. H. A. Ruwe, Blair, were held at the Bendorf Funeral home at two o’clock on Saturday, December 26; Rev. John Brooks, pastor of the First Methodist Church, was in charge of the rites. Interment was made in the Telbasta community, Mrs. Ruwe had been a resident of Blair for nearly fifty years. She had died suddenly on Tuesday, December 22. The only immediate survivor is her husband, H. A. Ruwe of Blair. Obituary courtesy of the Washington County Genealogical Society.
