Mrs. Ida Ruwe, long time resident of the Herman vicinity, died Wednesday at the McBride Nursing Home in Fremont. She had been in ill health and a patient there for a number of weeks. Mrs. Ruwe was 84 years old.

Mrs. Ruwe was the former Ida Lueninghoener and was born in the Admah rural area west of Herman on September 11, 1881. She grew up on a farm in that area.

She was married to Herman C. Ruwe on March 2, 1904 and they lived together on a farm in the Herman area until Mr. Ruwe’s death in 1932.

She is survived by a daughter and two sons. The daughter is Mrs. Albert Sprick, Blair; sons are Delmar and Harlan Ruwe, both of the Omaha area. There are also seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ruwe was a member of Salem Lutheran Church at Fontanelle and funeral services were held at the church Saturday afternoon. Burial was made in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery. The Rev. Otto Spehe, assisted by Rev. Harold C. Jorgensen, of Blair, conducted the services. The Wollmer and Warne funeral home at Hooper was in charge of interment.
