Services for Bertha Henricksen, 84 of Blair who died January 21, 1996, at Arbor Manor in Fremont will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 24 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Blair. Burial will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Bertha Henricksen was born August 9, 1911 on the family farm near Kennard to William and Margaret Jahnel. She attended Sunnyside School and graduated from Kennard High School. She attended Wayne State College and Omaha University. She taught in rural school in the Blair and Kennard areas for 20 years.

She married Frank Henricksen and they lived on the family farm near Kennard. He preceded her in death in February, 1975 and, in 1977, she moved to Blair.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Frank Jahnel.

She is survived by three sisters, Marion Fedde, Bennington; Margaret Maraldo, Vista, California and Helen Petersen, Omaha and four nieces and nephews.
