Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 27 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Jensen officiating for Harold Ryan of Blair, who died at Good Shepherd Home January 24, 1993 at the age of 93.

Harold Ryan was born August 6, 1899 in the Rosehill area. He attended the Rosehill, Neff and Herman Schools.

On March 3, 1927, he married Mildred Carlson at Blair. She preceded him in death in August, 1981.

He farmed and was a trucker of livestock for 16 years in the Herman area. In 1944, he purchased a farm near Osceola, Iowa where he farmed until 1970 at which time he retired and moved to Blair. He had been active in the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service Committee, Farm Bureau and Republican Party.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters, Leatha Hook and Ethel and one brother, George Ryan.

He is survived by four daughters, Patricia Walstrom, Omaha; Shirley (Mrs. James) Hancock, Blair; Norma Ryan, Council Bluffs, Iowa and Catherine Ryan; six grandchildren, Tara Hancock, Steven Hancock, Russell Hancock, Thomas Walstrom, Richard Walstrom and John Walstrom; six great-grandchildren, Jason Walstrom, Amanda Walstrom, Ricky Walstrom, Sarah Walstrom, Stephanie Walstrom and Kathleen Walstrom; one sister, Hazel Waugh, Greenfield, Illinois.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
