Grandma Ryan, 102 Years Old, Died Saturday

Mrs. Margaret Ryan, one of the oldest women in the state, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lacker, at Blair Saturday evening. The body was taken to Fremont Monday forenoon and burial took place in Calvary Cemetery. The Rev. Father J. J. O’Sullivan, pastor of St. Patrick’s Church, officiated. Services were also held in the Catholic Church in Blair, Rev. Father O’Driscoll officiating Mrs. Lacker accompanied the body.

Mrs. Ryan, who was a native of Ireland, resided in Washington County for over fifty years. With her husband she settled on a farm near the Magenau bridge and made her home there until about six months ago, when she went to Blair to live with her daughters.
