MILDRED RYAN IS BURIED ON WEDNESDAY

Funeral services for Mildred Lillian Ryan, 80, who died at Blair Hospital on August 3, 1981, were held at Campbell Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 5.

Rev. Carl Schattauer conducted the services. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.

Mildred Lillian Ryan was born January 16, 1901, in Centerville, South Dakota, to Edwin and Elsie Jarff Carlson. She married C.H. Ryan in Blair on March 3, 1927.

She is survived by her husband, C. Harold Ryan, Blair; and four daughters, Mrs. James (Shirley) Hancock, Blair; Patricia Walstron, Omaha; Catherine Ryan, Los Angeles, California; and Norma Ryan, Corning, Iowa. One brother, Verner Carlsen, San Leandro, California; two sisters, Dora Moss, Weston, Missouri, and Edith Jensen, Blair; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive her.

Pallbearers were Russell Hancock, Steven Hancock, Niels Poulson, John Walstrom, Richard Walstrom and Thomas Walstrom. Clare Cowing was organist.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the service.

Note: Mildred's maiden name was Carlson, with an O. Her mom and sis are interred in Blair. Carlson is misspelled as Carlsen in reference to her surviving brother (Verner), but otherwise spelled correctly in the obit and I have changed it on her memorial --Sheila, who manages her FindaGrave memorial #112158357
