Services for Perry Ryan, age 79 of Blair, who died May 5, 1993 at Memorial Community Hospital were held on Saturday, May 8 at First United Methodist Church, with military graveside services in the Blair Cemetery.

Perry James Ryan was born November 27, 1913 at Blair, Nebraska to James and Hannah Jensen Ryan. He attended elementary school at Rosehill.

In 1943 he entered and served the Army during World War II. He was discharged in 1946 as First Lieutenant.

After his discharge, he worked for Graybar Electric and later operated an implement company in Menomonie, Wisconsin.

In September, 1974, he married Audrey Stinson at Blair.

He was a member of the Blair American Legion and Blair Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Russell.

Surviving him in death are his wife, Audrey; two daughters, Patricia Ryan-Benear, Boise, Idaho and Kathryn Ryan, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two step-daughters, Chris Sherman, Omaha, Nebraska and Audrey Mattson, Lincoln, Nebraska; four step-grandchildren; one sister, Clarice (Mrs. Kenneth) Pence and four brothers, Bill, Robert and Kelly, all from Blair, and Curtis of Omaha.

Memorials may be directed to the Shrine Hospital.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
