William K. Ryder, 68, of Omaha, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, in Omaha. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug 22, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be gin at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21, and a Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

William K. Ryder was born April 18, 1934, in Cleveland, Tenn., to Kenneth and Clara (Harriss) Ryder.

He attended Lenior City High School in Tennessee, and Central State College in Oklahoma.

On January 6, 1951, he entered the U.S. Air Force, retiring January 8, 1971. He then worked for the U. S. Postal Service for 20 years. On January 4, 1982, he married Mary Ann Loftis in Omaha.

Mr. Ryder had been a resident of Omaha for the past 31 years, where he was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 325 in Bellevue, Scottish Rites 32 Degree, a life member of V. F. W. Post No. 2280 in Bellevue, and DAV life member of Chapter No. 2.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of Omaha; three daughters and son-in-law, Margaret Oake of Bellevue, Linda Ryder of Chicago, Ill., and Lita and Paul Schmid of Fort Worth, Texas, and 15 grandchildren.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
