Dora McDonald, 81, Died At Blair Hospital April 25

Mrs. Dora McDonald, a life-long resident of Washington County, died at Memorial Community Hospital at Blair on Tuesday, April 25th. She was 81 years of age.

Mrs. McDonald had been a resident of the Good Shepherd Home for the past eight years.

She was born in Washington county and grew up in the area near Herman. She was married to Thomas W. McDonald, February 15, 1915. To this union, two children were born, one of whom survives. Her husband preceded her in death in 1947.

The children were Keith McDonald of San Diego. He died in April, 1970. A daughter Mrs. Chester (Marie) Spiker survives and lives near Herman. A brother, Henry Richter, lives at Glendale, California.

Survivors, in addition to Mrs. Spiker, include two granddaughters and 4 great grandchildren. The granddaughters are Mrs. Terry Carmichael (Judy) of Blair and Mrs. Denny Colgan (Nancy) of Herman.

Funeral services were held Thursday April 27th with the Rev. Charles Gates conducting the service. Pallbearers were Terry Carmichael, Denny Colgan, Lloyd Olson, Carrol Olson, John Miller and Gifford Grabe. Burial was in the Blair cemetery.
