#1-AGED BLAIR WOMAN IS DEATH VICTIM

Mrs. William Rutledge, 86, died at Blair hospital Monday evening, Dec. 27. Ill only a short time, she was taken to the local hospital about two weeks prior to her death.

As Catherine Armenia Rosenbaum, she was born in Washington county, Va., April 17, 1857. She was united in marriage to William Rutledge March 16, 1882, and six years later moved to Washington county. Mrs. Rutledge had been a resident of this county ever since. After the death of her husband in 1933, she moved to Kennard, where she was a guest of her niece, Mrs. Ida Pettit.

Survivors include two brothers, William Van Huss of Blair and Samuel Van Huss of Hydro, Okla., besides a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral rites were conducted at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Campbell Mortuary in Blair, with the Rev. A. W. Clarke of Arlington, in charge. Interment was in the Kennard cemetery.

Catherine Armenia Rosenbaum was born in Washington County, Virginia on April 17th, 1857, and died at the Blair Hospital after a short illness on Monday, December 27th, 1943, being 86 years, 8 months and 10 days old at the time of her death.

On March 16th, 1882 she was united in marriage to William Rutledge. Six years later they came to Washington County, Nebraska, and have lived in and near this community since that time. After the death of her husband in 1933 Mrs. Rutledge made her home with her niece, Mrs. Ida Pettit, at Kennard.

Deceased is survived by two brothers, William Van Huss of Blair and Samuel Van Huss, Hydro, Oklahoma and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral rites were conducted at the Campbell Mortuary at two p.m. Wednesday, Rev. A. W. Clarke officiating, with interment in the Kennard cemetery.
