Mark McDonald Buried In Blair

Mark A. McDonald passed away at the Arch. Bishop Mercy Hospital in Omaha on February 27th at the age of 73 years. He was born and raised south of Blair and was a traveling salesman for Swift and Co. for many years. He later went into business for himself with his son Franklin, and it was known as the Sanitary Chemical Supply, Inc. of Omaha.

He is survived by his wife, Christabel, and two sons Mark H. and Franklin of Omaha, three daughters, Mrs. Pat McBreen (Merriam) Omaha, (Boys’s Town), Mrs. Victor McDonald (Genevieve of Sioux City. Also Mrs. Miles Manchester (Jean of Vienna, Va.; 14 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.

Also surviving are four brothers: Clyde of Gardena, California, Delmer of Papillion, Charles of Omaha, and Russell of Denver, Colorado; four sisters: Mrs. Pearl Rood, Morton, Wyoming, Mrs. Wm. Grabe, Omaha, Mrs. Lorens Miller, Blair and Mrs. Clarence Olson, of Tekamah.

Funeral services were held from the John A. Gentleman Mortuary in Omaha at 10:30 Tuesday morning and burial was in the Blair cemetery.
