Russel J. McDonald, 86 of Wheat Ridge, Colo., died Friday, April 11, 1997.

Memorial services will be Sunday.

McDonald was born March 14, 1911, the youngest of 11 children. He was a truck driver for 40 years for Denver Chicago, a Blair-based trucking company, starting in 1939. In 1955, he moved his family to Denver, Colo. He retired in 1970.

Survivors are his wife, Helen; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Sharon and Mickey and Eva; four grandchildren, Kevin, Rusty, Mickey, Jr. and Jill; one great-grandchild, Nathan, all of Denver; one sister, Myrtie Olson, 90 of Tekamah and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

His parents; and nine of his brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Newcomer Family Mortuary and Crematory in Lakewood, Colo., is in charge of arrangements.
