Louis Peterson

Louis Peterson, Uehling, passed away Monday at the Oakland Hospital. He had been failing in health for two years, and in the hospital for three days. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Peterson, he was born May 12, 1877, on a farm near Herman and spent his entire life in that community. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith, and was a member of the Elim Lutheran Church.

In 1905 he married Dora Marie Anderson in Fremont, and they lived on the farm until 1949, when they retired and moved to their present home in Uehling.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Alvis Petersen of Hooper; two daughters, Mrs. Earl Wagner of Hooper and Mrs. George Nelson of Craig; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Anton of Hooper and Julius of Fremont; and one sister, Mrs. John Ladd of Fulton, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a grandson, three sisters and one brother.

The services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Elim Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Pierson officiating. Interment will be in the Elim Lutheran Cemetery, with Wolimer & Warne in charge.
