Marian J. Peterson, 88

Washington County native Marian J. (Nelson) Peterson of Ogallala, died Jan. 6, 2004 at Kearney. Funeral services were held Jan. 10 in Ogallala.

Marian J. (Nelson) Peterson was born Sept. 5, 1915 at Orum to James T. and Annie (Wolsmann) Nelson. She graduated from Blair High School in 1932.

On Nov. 10, 1937 she married Jack H. Peterson. The couple spent their lives together ranching in the Ogallala area.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Janet and Jim Haggard of Ogallala and Sandra Peterson of Kearney; daughter-in-law, Julie Peterson of Ogallala; sister, Norma Paulsen of Blair; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, and a son, Jay.
