Merle Peterson

Funeral Services for Merle H. Peterson, 70, who died Thursday, August 28, 1986, were held Saturday, August 30, in Westland, Michigan.

He was born December 16, 1915, in rural Herman to Fred and Pauline (Gosker) Peterson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Vacoma Lutheran Church.

He served as a captain in the U.S. Army during World War II. Later he worked for several farm equipment manufacturers.

Survivors include his wife, Lucile and one son William A. of Plymouth, Michigan, and three brothers, Robert H. of Blair and Howard F. and Duane F. of Herman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Burial was in Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan.
