FORMER HERMAN MAN DIES IN OMAHA

Peter A. Petersen died suddenly at his home at 5731 Military Avenue in Omaha on December 24th at the age of 70.

He was born April 30, 1898 to John S. and Kate B. Petersen at Irvington. On January 26, 1924 he was married to Gertrude Penke of Bennington. They lived near Bennington before moving to a farm at Waterloo. In 1943 they moved to a farm near Herman and lived there until 1963 when they retired and went to Omaha. While in Herman they attended the Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair.

He is survived by his wife Gertrude, two daughters, Mrs. Robert Merryweather (Betty) of Valley and Mrs. Keith Rasmussen (LeiLany) of Wisner and a son, Cutris of Herman. Also five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 26th at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Omaha. The Rev. Daniel Ondov officiated. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with the Kremer Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
