Gary R. Morrison, 59, of Arlington, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at his home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the Arlington Community Church in Arlington. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Interment will be in the Arlington Cemetery.
Gary R. Morrison was born Sept. 20, 1954, in New York City to John and Alice(Reilly) Morrison.
He grew up in Levittown, N.Y., and was a graduate of Division Avenue High School.
He moved to Arlington in 1976.
He married Jetta Lange on April 8, 1978, in Arlington. They continued to live in Arlington except from 2008 to 2010, when they lived in Salina, Kan.
He was a 23-year member of the Arlington Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. He was a 35-year employee at Valmont Industries at Valley.
He is survived by his wife, Jetta of Arlington; sons and daughters-in-law: Chad and Jessica Morrison and John and Ashley Morrison, all of Fremont; daughters and sons-in-law, Summer and Clay Scott of North Bend and Jessica and Levi Lamson of Fremont; brother and sister-in-law Kevin and Karen Morrison of Scribner; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Mark Henning of Coram, N.Y.; and 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother John Morrison.
Memorials may be given to the Arlington Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
