Services Held for Chris L. Schumacher

Chris L. Schumacher, a resident of the Kennard area all his life, died last Sunday morning, August 29th, at Community Memorial Hospital in Blair. He was 50 years old.

Mr. Schumacher had been hospitalized only two days. Death was attributed to a possible heart condition.

Christian Leonard Schumacher was born at Kennard, May 23, 1921. He grew up at Kennard but had been living more recently at 1414 Grant street in Blair.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, by a step-daughter, Mrs. Sharon Wrich and by four grandchildren.

Also surviving are five sisters and two brothers.

The sisters are: Mrs. Eva Wrigg, Blair; Mrs. Christine Stender, Kennard; Mrs. Arthur Mueller, Kennard; Mrs. Harry Andreasen and Mrs. Claus Wrigg, both of Kennard.

The brothers are August and Walter Schumacher, both of Kennard.

Funeral services were held at the Bendorf Funeral Home, Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Ardon Dorn conducting the service. Burial was made in the Blair cemetery.

The pallbearers were Raymond Wrich, John Anderson, Roy Rosenbaum, Harvey Wiese, George Boock and Erwin Johnson.
