Obituary in the Sept. 25, 1914 Enterprise, Blair, NE

Mr. Otto Boock and wife, of Nickerson, Kans., were called here by the death of their grandson, little Otto, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Schumacher, who live south of this place. Little Otto was in Kennard, with his father, about 10 o’clock Sunday A.M. and about a half hour after their return home, while in the act of giving his sisters and mother some candy, he expired at 11:30 o’clock. Otto Henry Schumacher was born Dec. 21st, 1904, died Sept. 20, 1914. The funeral service was held at the family home on the farm on Tuesday and the interment at the German cemetery. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved family in their hour of sad affliction.
