Mrs. Susie Ann Schumake Buried

Services were held Monday at Herman for Mrs. Susie Ann Schumake, longtime resident of the Herman vicinity, who had died Friday, January 12th at the Oakland, Nebraska Nursing Home. Mrs. Schumake was 89 years old.

She was born in Pennsylvania, October 5th, 1872, and had moved to the east Nebraska area with her family when but a small child.

Her husband, William A. Schumake, had preceded her in death in 1941.

Mrs. Schumake is survived by a son, Charles Shumake, Sr. of Blair, and a grandson, Charles Schumake, Jr. also of Blair. All of the members of her immediate family had preceded her in death. Two great-grandchildren survive.

Services were held Monday afternoon at the Methodist church in Herman with the Rev. Clare Olney, of the Blair Congregational Church conducting the service.

Interment, under the directions of the Bendorf Funeral Home, was made in the Herman cemetery.
