Lou Schumaker-Coglizer, 68

Lou Schumaker-Coglizer, 68, of Fort Calhoun, died Dec. 7, 2009.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, at Roeder Mortuary, 108th Chapel, in Omaha.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at the mortuary.

Lou “Corky” Schumaker-Coglizer was born Jan. 14, 1941.

She is survived by her husband, Gary; children, Craig Schumaker, Sherri and John Beister, and Julie and Todd Volwiler; four granddaughters, one grandson; brothers, Frankie Morris, Larry Murphy, Fred Morris and Lyle Morris; nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Brian Schumaker, and parents, William Morris and Maxine Roper; and a brother, David Morris.

Memorials are suggested to Oncology West or the Fort Calhoun Fire and Rescue Squad.

Survived by husband Gary; children Craig Schumaker, Sherri (John) Beister, Julie (Todd) Volwiler; granddaughters Sara, Molly, Rebecca, Rachel Schumaker; grandson Nathan Stevens; brothers Frankie Morris, Larry Murphy, Fred Morris, Lyle Morris and families; nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service 10 am Thursday at mortuary.

Visitation 5-7 pm Wednesday. Private interment.
