McDonald Funeral Is Wednesday

Funeral services will be held at Campbell Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24th for William D. McDonald, 88, who passed away at Blair Hospital on April 21, 1985. Reverend Harold Dodson will officiate, and music will be provided by Clare Cowing and Homer Nielsen. Burial will be made in Blair Cemetery.

Mr. McDonald was born in Blair on January 10, 1897 to George and Jesse (Beales) McDonald. He was married in Fremont on July 8, 1920 to Cecil Snyder, who preceded him in death.

William attended grade school in Fort Calhoun, and graduated from Blair High School in 1915. He was County Sheriff from 1939 to 1951, and was a member of the Blair Masonic Lodge. Masonic services will be conducted by the Washington County Lodge No. 21.

Survivors include children, Mrs. Reid (Janet) Jacobsen of Blair, and George McDonald of Springfield, Illinois; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Myron McDonald of Omaha, and Robert McDonald of Scottsbluff; and sisters, Mrs. Charles (Edith) French of Boise, Idaho, and Mrs. William (Thelma) Longacre of Schuyler, Nebraska.

Pallbearers will be Warren Fuhlrodt, Alfred Thompson, Patrick Thompson, Gregg McDonald, Paul McDonald and Raymond Gillett.
