Ivan E. McDowell, 74

Ivan E. McDowell, 74, of Blair, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at his home in Blair.

Funeral services were Thursday, Sept. 4, at Roeder Mortuary in Omaha. Interment was at Evergreen Memorial Park in Omaha.

Ivan E. McDowell was born Dec. 14, 1928, in Fauctee, Mo., to William and Viola (Walrod) McDowell.

He served in the United States Navy from 1946 to 1949.

He was later employed as an engineer for a packing house.

Mr. McDowell is survived by his wife, Shirley McDowlll; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Barbara McDowell; and daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Rich Sehi, Sandy and Rick Johnsen and Debby and Clyde Rostad; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brothers, Bud McDowell, Raymond McDowell and Harold McDowell; sisters, Mildred Bartch, Doris Warren, Billie Hamm and Susie Guwin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Viola McDowell, a brother, Robert, and a sister, Ellen.
