Ethel Minnie Carson died Saturday, January 25, 1992 at her home in Pisgah, Iowa after being in failing health for some time.

She was born September 14, 1908 at Orson, Iowa to Ed and Minnie Parks Harter. She graduated from Mondamin High School and attended Iowa Falls Teachers College, commuting by train. She then taught in the rural schools for a number of years in Harrison County.

She married Harold Dale Carson July 10, 1934 at Dennison, Iowa. They farmed around the Pisgah area until his death December 11, 1970. She continued living on the family farm until 1985 when she moved into Pisgah.

She was an active member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three granddaughters, her parents, one sister and two brothers.

She is survived by her children, Ruth and Alfred Mohn of Woodbine, Iowa; Dale Carson of Sioux City, Iowa and William and Patsy Carson of Blair; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Christensen of Moorhead, Minnesota; and Mary Jensen of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; two brother, Buy Harter of Pisgah and Lyle Harter of Omaha and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
