C. Jake Carter, a one-time Blair resident, died last Sunday in Glendale, Arizona. He was 76 years of age. He was born in Blair and grew up here and was a graduate of Blair High School.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth, and by a brother, W. Douglas Carter of Blair and a sister, Mrs. Francis M. Jones of Mesa, Arizona.

He was a member of the Air Corps in World War I and after that spent many years in the enforcement business. He was Chief of Police at Casper Wyoming at the time of his retirement.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Casper and burial was made at that place.
