Services for Laura A. Carter, 91, Fort Collins, Colorado who died January 3, 1993 at Poudra Valley Hospital in Fort Collins were Wednesday, January 5 at the American Baptist Church in Fort Collins. Rev. Robert Winegar officiated. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery with graveside services Friday, January 7, at 11 a.m.

Laura A. Carter was born December 12, 1902 at Denver. She married Rev. W. Dudley Carter June 20, 1933 at Nora, Nebraska.

She was a school teacher for 27 years, the majority of her teaching in grade school. She was also a Baptist minister’s wife.

She was a lifetime member of the American Baptist Church and Baptist Churches and was formerly a member of Tekamah Baptist Church in Tekamah. She was active in Senior Citizens, Ladies Circle Group, a painting club, extension club and American Baptist Women.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1972 and her father, Andrew P. Andersen.

She is survived by a son, Lee Carter of Laporte, Colorado; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the American Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
