Former Blair resident Patricia J (McCord) Carter died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008.

A memorial service will he held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Ferguson, Mo.

Mrs. Carter was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church, and was a longtime nurse at Christian Hospital NW at Florissant, Mo.; and was a caregiver to many.

She was the wife of the late Howard Carter and the former wife of Robert Esworthy.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Fong-Fong Chu Esworthy; daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Rod Simpson and Mary and Dimitrios Tsoukas; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, City of Hope, or St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.
