Rose C. Schurr, 90

Rose Schurr, 90, of Eustis, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at the Elwood Care Center.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Eustis.

Rose C. Schurr was born Sept. 22, 1913, near Eusis to Christian and Karoline (Gutenkinst) Koch. She attended school at Eustis.

On Aug. 10, 1933, she married Willie Schurr. They made their home on a farm site southwest of Eustis until the early 1970’s when they moved to Eustis. After her husband’s death in 1993, Mrs. Schurr continued living in Eustis. In 1999 she moved to Park Avenue Independent Living in Lexington. She had lived at the Elwood Care Center since April 2003.

She is survived by LaRaye and Charlene Schurr of Eustis, Carolyn Schurr and June Prange of Minneapolis, Minn., Kathryn Lunde of Blair, Mary and Bruce Bakke of Grapevine, Texas, Kari and Jason Warden of Ralston, and Andrea and Lucas Cox of Bluehill.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lorenz Koch, a granddaughter, Kirsten Lunde, and son-in-law, DuWayne Lunde.
