JUDY D. DUNKLAU, 59

Judy D. Dunklau, 59, of Arlington, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, at the Fremont Area Medical Center in Fremont.

Services were Monday, Jan 10, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington. Burial was in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Arlington.

Judy Dunklau was born June 13, 1940, to George and Dagmar Luenenburg in Omaha. She grew up in Waterloo and Valley until moving to Arlington at the age of 14. She was a graduate of Arlington High School and attended Midland College in Fremont. She lived in rural Arlington until 1992 when she moved into town.

On April 5, 1959, she married David E. Dunklau in Fremont.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was a library volunteer at St. Paul’s School.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in –law, Patrick and Carol Dunklau of Scribner; a daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Jim Hubbard of Dakota City; her mother, Dagmar Luenenburg of Arlington; and four grandchildren, David Dunklau, Maggie, Beth, and Anna Hubbard.

She was preceded in death by her husband; father, George Luenenburg, Jr. ; and a brother, George Luenenburg, Jr.

Memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran School north of Arlington, or to the American Cancer Society. Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

ARLINGTON - - The funeral of Judy D. Dunklau, 59, of Arlington, will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington.

She died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, at Fremont Area Medical Center.

Judy Luenenburg was born June 13, 1940, at Omaha. She grew up in the Valley and Waterloo areas until moving to Arlington at the age of 14. She was a graduate of Arlington High School and attended Midland College in Fremont. She married David E. Dunklau April 5, 1959, at Fremont. He died Aug. 28, 1996. She lived in rural Arlington until moving to town in 1992.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was a library volunteer at St. Paul’s School.

Survivors include: a son, Patrick (and wife, Carol) Dunklau of Scribner; a daughter Jane (Mrs. Jim) Hubbard of Dakota City; her mother, Dagmar Luenenburg of Arlignton; and four grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a brother.

The Rev. Michael L. Rogers will officiate Monday’s service. Visitation is noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington, and continues Monday one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial is at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Arlington.

Memorials have been established to St. Paul’s Lutheran School or the American Cancer Society.
