SERVICES FOR LORENZ DUNKLAU WILL BE THURSDAY MORNING

Lorenz Z. Dunklau, of Arlington, passed away Monday afternoon, August 9th, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Dunklau was 63 at the time of his death at the Fremont Hospital.

Services for Lorenz Dunklau will be on Thursday morning, August 12th, at 10 a.m. in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington. Burial will be in the St. Paul Cemetery.

Visitation is at the Reckmeyer Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Backhus officiating.

Mr. Dunklau was extremely active in a variety of local, county and church organizations. He was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington, and served as Financial Secretary and Church Treasurer for a number of years.

He was secretary of the Washington County Fair for many years. He has been a member of the Arlington Community Club, the Washington County Livestock Feeders Association and the Lutheran Laymen’s League.

Mr. Dunklau was born on Febr. 21, 1913 at Arlington. He farmed northeast of Arlington most of his life. Recently Dorothy and Lorenz Dunklau moved to a home in Arlington. He is survived by his wife Dorothy. They were united in marriage on July 17, 1938 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church east of Hooper.

The Dunklaus have one daughter, Mrs. Steven (Karen) Bremer of Arlington. There are three grandchildren. Mr. Dunklau is survived by three sisters. They are Mrs. Albert (Ella) Wehmeyer of Bland, Missouri; Mrs. Glenn (Meta) Giesselman of Arlington; Mrs. Arthur (Norma) Wittman of Arlington.

Family Prayer service will be at 9:30 a.m. in the Church Hall.

LORENZ Z. DUNKLAU

Lorenz Zacharias Dunklau was born Feb. 21, 1913 on a farm near Arlington, Nebr., the son of Ewi Dunklau and Ida Hilgenkamp Dunklau. He was baptized into the Lutheran Faith on March 1, 1913 and was confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church May 1, 1927. On July 17, 1938 he was joined in Holy Matrimony with Dorothy Hartung at the Immanuel Lutheran Church east of Winslow, Nebr. He lived in the Arlington Community all his life.

Mr. Dunklau passed away Monday, August 9, 1976 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County, Fremont, Nebraska at the age of 63 years, 5 months and 18 days. He is survived by his wife Dorothy; daughter, Mrs. Steven (Karen) Bremer of Arlington; 3 sisters, Mrs. Albert (Ella) Wehmeyer of Bland, Mo.; Mrs. Glenn (Meta) Giesselmann and Mrs. Arthur (Norma) Wittmann, both of Arlington; and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Raymond.
