MARIE A. DUNKLAU, 84

Services for Marie A. Dunklau, 84 of Fremont and formerly of Arlington who died January 1, 1994 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont are 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 4 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church near Arlington. Rev. Michael L. Rogers is officiating. Burial will be in the St. Paul’s Cemetery.

Marie A. Dunklau was born November 3, 1909 in rural Arlington. She grew up in the rural Arlington area.

She married Ewald Dunklau August 30, 1933 at St. Paul’s Church. They farmed in the rural Arlington area, moving into Arlington in 1973. She moved to Fremont in 1990.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

She was preceded in death by her husband, August 21, 1986; her parents, Henry and Minnie Dickmeyer Laaker; two brothers, Martin and Walter Laaker; three sisters, Laura Hilgenkamp, Helena Stork and Leona Laaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Marina (Mrs. Earl) Lottman, Fremont; Gorgene (Mrs. Charles) Iske, Dodge, Nebraska; and Linda (Mrs. Larry) Shepard, Fremont; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Church, St. Paul’s Lutheran School or The Lutheran Hour.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington was in charge of arrangements.
