SERVICES HELD FOR VIOLA DUNKLAU OF ARLINGTON

Services for Viola M. (Stork) Dunklau of Arlington were held Tuesday, July 5, 1988 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington. The Rev. Dennis Maaske officiated at the 10 A.M. service. Burial was in the St. Paul Cemetery.

Mrs. Dunklau died Saturday, July 2, 1988 at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

She was born February 11, 1913 in Blair and lived all her life in Washiington County. She and her husband, Albert H. Dunklau, farmed east of Arlington until 1977 when they moved into the town itself.

She married her husband at St. Paul’s Church, where she was also a member of the Women’s Missionary League and was active with the quilters.

Survivors include her husband; son, Galen Dunklau; daughter, Rosalyn (Mrs. Lloyd) Vogt; four grandchildren; two brothers, Martin C. and Harlan Stork, all of Arlington.

She is preceded in death by her parents, August and Maria (Kroeger) Stork and by an infant sister.

Mr. Dennis Godeman was the organist and choir director. Pallbearers were David, Dyral, and LeRoy Dunklau, Del and Terry Stork, and David Wells.

Memorials were established for the St. Paul Church and the Arlington Rescue Squad. Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

#2 VIOLA MARIA DUNKLAU

Viola Maria Dunklau, the daughter of August P. and Maria (Kroeger) Stork, was born February 11, 1913 at Blair, Nebraska. She was baptized February 17, 1913 and confirmed into the Lutheran Faith on March 28, 1926 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Arlington, Nebraska. She lived all her life in Washington County in Nebraska.

Viola married Albert H. Dunklau on June 21, 1936 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Arlington. The couple farmed east of Arlington until moving into Arlington in 1977.

Viola was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, St. Paul's Lutheran Women's Missionary League and was active with the Quilters.

She passed from this life Saturday, July 2, 1988 at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 75 years, 4 months and 21 days. She is survived by her husband, Albert; son, Galen Dunklau; daughter Rosalyn (Mrs. Lloyd) Vogt; two brothers, Martin Stork and Harlan Stork; and four grandchildren, all of Arlington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant sister.
