Schwarz—Mrs. Sally (Sorensen) age 85

Mrs. Sally (Sorensen) Schwarz, age 85, of Marblehead, MA formerly of Overland Park, KS, died Tuesday in Salem Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Jack P. Schwarz. Born in Staplehurst, NE, she was the daughter of the late Hans H. and Johanna K. (Vested) Sorensen. She was raised in Blair, NE before moving to Omaha, NE, where she married. Upon retiring, she moved to Marblehead, MA in 1999. Prior to her retirement, she worked for Management Recruiters of Overland, Kansas, where she was employed as an Engineer Recruiter. She also worked as a Secretary for IBM in Chicago for many years. She was a volunteer at the Lee Mansion in Marblehead and was also a member of the Old North Church Flower Committee. She leaves 1 daughter, Nancy Cheney and her husband Christopher and their children Philip and Audrey all of Marblehead; 1 sister Leona Jones of Alamo, TX. She was also the grandmother of Nathan Schwarz and Travis Stockman both of Kansas City. She was the mother of the late John L. Schwarz and sister of the late Irene Kempcke and Leo Sorensen.

Family and Friends are kindly invited to attend a Memorial Service in the Old North Church, 35 Washington St., Marblehead, MA on Thursday at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Old North Church Flower Committee, 35 Washington St., Marblehead, MA 01945. Arrangements under the direction of the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home of Marblehead.
