Willard Schwink, 75

A memorial service is planned at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Pasadena, California for Willard Schwinck of Altadena, California, who died Tuesday, March 7, after an illness of about five months. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Willard Schwinck was born in West Point, Nebraska June 27, 1913 to William and Anna Schwinck. He received his education at St. Paul’s Lutheran School and West Point High School. He also attended Washburn College at Topeka, Kansas and Iowa State College at Ames, Iowa, where he received his bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering.

He worked for C.F.Braun & Co. of Alhambra, California and traveled to many countries in the world with his work.

He married Dorothy Frick of Rockwell City, Iowa on October 11, 1938.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Altadena, California; three sons, Kirby of Shaver Lake, California, Gordon of Lancaster, California, and Craig of Winter Park, Florida; three granddaughters, and two grandsons. One sister and brother-in-law, Cornelia and Harold Rabbass of Blair; one nephew and his wife, Paul and Denise Rabbass of Ottumwa, Iowa also survive him.
