Services for Marie Pettit Tuesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie M. Pettit will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at the Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. Rev. Russell Saltzman will officiate, with Clare Cowing as organist and Melvin Misfeldt as vocalist. Burial will follow at the Kennard Cemetery.

Marie was born July 17, 1905 to W.B. and Anna (Nielsen) Rosenbaum in Kennard. She married Lawrence Pettit on Nov. 2, 1935. He preceded her in death. Marie was a member of the Emmaus Lutheran Church and was a lifetime resident of Kennard. She died Sunday, March 10, at a Lutheran Hospital in Omaha at the age of 79.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Glen (Betty) Vogt of Arlington, son James of St. Joseph, Missouri, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren, brothers Lester Rosenbaum of Blair, Merritt Rosenbaum of Omaha, sisters Gladys Dickmeyer of Arlington, Selma Allison of Decatur and Helena Andreasen of Fremont.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence, three brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers are Ronald Rosenbaum, Rodney Rosenbaum, Neil Rosenbaum, Duane Gottsch, Gordon McDonald and Bill McDonald.
