Former Blair resident Vilas R. Petznick, 66, of Maryville, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at Maryville.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair; Interment will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb, 26, at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home.

Vilas Ralph Petznick was born Jan. 29, 1942, in Wassau, Wis.

On Aug. 22, 1964, he married Jerrilyn Ann Decker in Athens, Wis.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair, and Hope Lutheran Church in Maryville.

He is survived by his wife, Jerrilyn; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Sean Bridgeford of Omaha; son and daughter-in-law, Glen and Kim Petznick of Omaha; brother and sister-in-law, Wesley and Pat Petznick of Fort Calhoun; six grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Wilfred, Wayne, and Verlon.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or Hope Lutheran Church.

PETZNICK---Vilas Ralph, 66, of Maryville, MO passed from this life on Friday, Feb. 22, 2008. Born on 1/29/42 in Wausau, WI, he was the son of the late Walter and Hilda (Wendt) Petznick. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Blair, NE and the Hope Lutheran Church, Maryville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and wood working. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Wilfred, Wayne and Verion. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jerrilyn Ann (Decker) Petznick, whom he married on 8/22/64 in Athens, WI; loving children, Glen Petznick and wife Kim, Omaha, Cindy Bridgeford and husband, Sean, Omaha; brother, Wesley Petznick and wife Pat, Ft. Calhoun, NE; grandchildren, Lyndsi, Kandis, Austin and Heleigh Petznick, Sarah and Michael Bridgeford; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Blair, NE. Final Resting Place will be in the Ft. Calhoun Cemetery, Ft. Calhoun, NE. The family will receive friends, Tuesday evening from 4-5 PM at the Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home, 214 N. 14th. Street, Ft. Calhoun, NE. 68023. Memorial donations to Hope Lutheran Church or Trinity Lutheran Church.
