Patricia Bryant Bohrer, 75

Patricia Bryant Bohrer, 75, of Tekamah, died May 22, 2001, at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services were held Friday, May 26, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tekamah with the Rev. Dawn Flink Silvius officiating. Interment was in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Patricia Bryant Bohrer was born April 8, 1926, in Sioux Falls, S.D. to Frank and Lena (Keneley) Kelley. She was orphaned at the age of six years, and then resided with her uncle and aunt, Elmer and Mamie Wright of Kennard. She graduated from Kennard High School in 1943, and then attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.

She was married to Gordon Bryan Jr., until his death in 1975. In August, 1980, she married S.L. “Bud” Bohrer, who died in May 2000.

Mrs. Bohrer began her career as a piano teacher in the late 1950s, and continued teaching until the time of her death. Over the course of her 40-plus years, she worked with hundreds of local children and adults.

She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tekamah, P.E.O. Chapter DC, Tekamah Book Club, Nebraska Federation of Music Clubs, and was very active in fundraising for the American Heart Association. She loved music, golf, reading and was an avid fan of all her grandchildren’s activities.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Marty Going of Omaha, sons and daughters-in-law, Gordon III and Leslye Bryant and Michael and Leah Bryant, all of Tekamah and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, sister, Jeanne, and her aunt and uncle, Elmer and Mamie Wright.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

Hamel-Peck-Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah was in charge of arrangements.
