Services for Edward A. Dworzak, 84 of Moxee, Washington and formerly of Marshalltown, Iowa who died February 6, 1995 at his home are 10 a.m. Thursday, February 9 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Marshalltown with Rev. Ralph Simington of St. Mary’s Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Newton, Iowa.

Edward A. Dworzak was born September 4, 1910 at Marshalltown, Iowa to Anton and Eva Dworzak. He was raised and educated in Marshalltown, graduating from high school in the late 1920s.

He served in the United States Army during World War II before locating in the Omaha, Nebraska area. He lived in Blair for many years while working as a steam fitter in Omaha.

He retired in the early 1970s and lived for a short time in Marshalltown in 1991 before moving to Moxee following the death of his wife, Grayce I. McPherren Dworzak.

He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Moxee and was a long-time member of the Steam Fitters Union Local No. 464 in Omaha.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

He is survived by a daughter, Bonnie McKain of Moxee; a son, Don V. Farnsworth of Thornton, Colorado; a brother, Frank Dworzak of Marshalltown; a sister, Hilda Wood of Marshalltown; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pursel-Davis Funeral Home in Marshalltown is in charge of services.
