BERNARD DYE, 67

Bernard “Pete” Dye, 67, of Kennard, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Kennard Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Bernard Dye was born Feb. 12, 1936, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Alvin and Lena Mae (Kerns) Dye. He attended school in Omaha.

On Sept. 7, 1955, he married Sonja Willis in Omaha. Mr. Dye had lived in the Kennard area since 1968.

He worked for Cheevers Construction Company in Lincoln for 45 years.

He is survived by his wife, Sonja; son, David Dye of Papillion; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Lee Beck of Elkhorn; Shelly and Jim Miller of Kennard; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a brother, Richard Dye of Omaha.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters, and a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Dye.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
