One-Time Blair Pastor Is Dead

Word has been received of the death of the Rev. W.W. Pfautz of Neodesha, Kansas, who died at his home Tuesday evening following a heart attack. The Rev. Mr. Pfautz was a one-time pastor of the Blair Presbyterian Church, which many years ago operated in the brick structure at 20th and Washington, now occupied by the Trinity Lutheran Church.

He was the husband of the former Iva Tyson, sister of Mrs. J. Stuart Maurer of this city.

The Rev. Mr. Pfautz is survived by his wife and three sons, the Rev. Wm. Pfautz of Ft. Madison, Iowa, Addison Pfautz of San Diego and Malcolm Pfautz of Garrison, New York.

He had retired on January 1st of this year after serving 50 years in the ministry.

Tentative plans are for funeral services to be held on Friday morning in Neodesha and the body will be brought to Blair where interment will be in the Blair cemetery on Saturday morning.
