Kenneth R. Phillips, 88

Kenneth R. Phillips, 88, of Lincoln, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, in Lincoln.

Funeral services were Thursday, March 4, at the Wyuka Funeral Home. Interment with military honors was in the Wyuka Cemetery.

Kenneth R. Phillips was born May 19, 1921, in Lincoln to William and Nina (Tifft) Phillips.

He served as a radar operator and rifle marksman during World War II and was honorably discharged, earning the Good Conduct Medal, EAMET Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon and Victory Ribbon.

On July 26, 1947, he married Marjorie Evans in Lincoln.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marjorie Phillips; brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Delores Phillips of North Glenn, Colo.; three granddaughters and spouses, including Karmen and James Cook of Blair; 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings and daughters, Connie Phillips and Joyce Brown.
