Mrs. Otis Phippin Died May 4th

Mrs. Otis (Carrie) Phippin, 90 years of age, 1530 Park St. died this (Thursday) morning at Memorial Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at First Methodist Church at 1:00 o’clock, the Rev. Donald Springer will officiate. Services will also be held Saturday at 3 o’clock at the Congregational Church at Uehling with interment in Uehling Cemetery.

Mrs. Phippin is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Bernice Yerger of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Agnes Hinfst of Emerson, Nebraska and Mrs. Florence Nelson of Omaha; a son Weldon Jacobs of Omaha; two sisters, three brothers and eleven grand-children and 20 great grandchildren.

One grandchild, Shirley Nash, now Mrs. Walter Nelson, Jr. of Omaha lived with her grandparents since the age of four.

Six children (3 boys and 3 girls) preceded Mr. and Mrs. Phippin in death.

Mrs. Phippin was born in Sweden September 27, 1870. Her husband, the late Otis Phippin, died in 1958.
