Services for Gary L. “Jake” Scott of Omaha who died November 24, 1994 at Bergen Mercy Care Center in Omaha after a long illness were Monday, November 28 at Roeder Funeral Home in Omaha. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha.

Gary L. “Jake” Scott was born October 4, 1946 in Blair to Lawrence L. and Maybell E. Shepperson Scott. He was raised in, and attended school at Fort Calhoun, Nebraska.

He went into the Navy in 1964. After returning home, he married Marjorie Ann Boham in 1970. They had two sons, Craig Ryan and Curt Shondell.

He then was married to Mary Mongovan from 1981-1984.

He worked for Western Electric, now AT &T in Omaha for 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James Thornton.

He is survived by his two sons, Craig, and his wife, Kelly, and Curt and his friend, Meadow; one granddaughter, Lindsey Marie; a stepson, Micheal Williby; four sisters, Mrs. Lilly Mae Lund of Yutan, Nebraska; Mrs. Sharon Rose Haynes and Mrs. Sandra Kay Weidt, both of Onawa, Iowa; Mrs. Linda Sue Metzler of Black Canyon City, Arizona; seven brothers, Robert Laroy of Sundown, Texas; Carl Raymond of Oceanside, California; Lawrence Lee, Jr. of Blair; Joseph Duane of Omaha; Cecil Clayton of Fort Calhoun; Gregory Alan of Sandwich, Massachusetts; Rex Arnold of Omaha; one special aunt, Sally Kephart of Tarkio, Missouri and many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
