Maybell E. Scott, 79

Services were Saturday, December 21 at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church for Maybell E. Scott, 79 of Fort Calhoun, who died December 18, 1992 at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha after a long illness. Rev. Dale Sanders officiated. Burial was in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Maybell Euteve Shepperson was born September 25, 1912 to Martha Mae Bridges and Thornton Theodore Shepperson at Sundance, Wyoming.

She married Lawrence Laroy Scott, Sr. October 21, 1929 at Rockport, Missouri. They have 13 children.

They moved to Fort Calhoun in December, 1945 from Omaha. She went to work at Wilkinsons Manufacturing Co. in 1959 and retired in 1974.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, James Thorton; one great-granddaughter, Brondi Lea Scott and one brother, Robert Reynolds.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; four daughters, Lilly Mae Lund, Sharen Rose Haynes, Sondra Kay Weldt and Linda Sue Metzler; eight sons, Robert Laroy, Carl Raymond, Lawrence Lee, Jr., Joseph Duane, Gary Lyle, Cecil Clayton, Gregory Alan and Rex Arnold; a sister, Sarah Kephart of Missouri; 36 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun was in charge of arrangements.
