Grandson of Blair Persons Killed in Pickup Crash

An 8-year-old Missouri Valley boy was fatally injured in a truck accident about 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The boy, Scott Seaman, died at a hospital about an hour after his father’s pickup left the road, went into a ditch and struck a tree about 200 feet from the family home.

Police said the child was sitting on his father’s lap, Thomas Seaman, and was crushed against the steering wheel in the crash.

Besides his parents, Scott is survived by three grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H.P. Jensen and Barney Seaman, all of Blair.

Funeral arrangements are pending.

The boy’s death was the eleventh traffic fatality in Harrison County this year, police said.
