On Monday at 2:00 p.m. the remains of Miss May Bates were laid to rest in the Kennard Cemetery. Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church, Rev. A. F. Schafer officiating. The church was crowded to the doors with friends and relatives of the deceased who had come to pay their respects to a loving and beautiful young girl. To the bereaved father and mother, brothers and sisters, The Enterprise extends its sympathy in the loss of a dear sweet loving girl. She was loved by all, and it seems sad, sad indeed, that one so pure and good should be taken from our midst. But God knows best; His will be done.

Miss May died Friday morning Dec. 27 (stone has 28 ?)at 2 o'clock from appendicitis. Her age was 16 years.

Card of Thanks - We wish to thank our many kind friends and neighbors, who so willingly assisted us during the sickness of our dearly beloved daughter and sister, for their expression of sympathy, when she was laid to rest.
