Francis A. Case, age 74, a resident of the Good Shepherd Home in Blair, and formerly of Decatur, died late on Monday evening, March 6, 1989 at Good Shepherd Home.

Frances was born on July 20, 1914 at Decatur, Nebraska to William Franklin and Edna Evelyn (Funkhouser) Case. He married Wilma Lucille Taylor on April 10, 1938 in Tekamah.

He operated Francis Case Tucking for several years, during which he did local hauling for area farmers. He was a member of the Decatur Reorganized Latter-Day Saints Church in Decatur for many years, and had in late years transferred his membership to the Fremont Branch of the R.L.D.S. Church.

Survivors include three sons, Robert of Independence, Missouri, Lyle Case of Uehling, and Lawrence Case of Herman; three daughters, Donna Carnes of Elgin, Marion Moore and Laura Smail, both of Blair; thirteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 10, 1989 at the Reorganized Latter-Day Saints Church in Decatur with Elder Weir Nelson officiating. Interment was in the Hillcrest Cemetery at Decatur. Arrangements were handled by the Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah.
