Leola Marie Case, the daughter of Carl and Carrie (Iverson) Rasmussen, was born on October 13, 1915 at Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA, and died at the age of 91 years, 9 months, and 20 days.

Leola attended country school until the 10th grade. She worked as a housekeeper for several years before enrolling in business school in Omaha. After graduating from business school, she worked at the Omaha Medical Arts Building. On December 7, 1954, she united in marriage to Delmar Case in Oklahoma City, OK. They moved to Shenandoah, IA where they owned and operated the Dairy Queen. After selling the Dairy Queen, they moved to Hancock and then to Oakland where Leola worked as a secretary. In 2001, she moved to Oakland Heights where she lived until the time of her death.

Leola was a member of the Hancock United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, quilting, working crossword puzzles, and traveling. She loved going to the horse races and dog races.

Leola is preceded in death by her husband Delmar on April 27, 1992; her parents; her brother Clifford; and her sisters: Loretta Pruner, Virginia Soll, and Evelyn and Marie.

She is survived by her brother Ivan Rasmussen of Blair, NE; her niece Kathleen Salsbury; and her nephews Mike Biffar, Terry Rasmussen, Gary Rasmussen, David Case, Charles Case, John Case, and Rick Case. She is also survived by many great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
